Director of ManufacturingOperations Upholstery
What Will You Do
The Director of Manufacturing willmaintain a safe work environment while directing the activities ofoperations management to fully utilize the support of alldepartments enabling the facility to meet company objectives.
Thisposition will oversee the manufacture of high quality products atpredetermined prices within given timeframes which exceed customerexpectations.
The Director of Manufacturing will continuously workto improve manufacturing processes using Lean Manufacturingconcepts in conjunction with Six Sigma Principles while balancingproduction requirements with company and employee needs.
Additionally this position will manage all production andmaintenance departments within an assigned facility in such amanner that fosters teamwork while increasing productivity andprofitability.
What Do YouNeed
- Bachelors Degree in engineeringor Operations Management or equivalent work experience Required.
- Masters or MBA Preferred
- 10 years in managing a manufacturing facilityof 1000 employees Required
- Experience in MRPor equivalent Material Requirements Planning software ManufacturingSystem software and Statistical Process Control
- Working knowledge of Continuous Improvement(Six Sigma Lean Manufacturing Theory of Constraints JustInTimeetc.)
