Are you a seasoned mechanical design engineer looking to take your career to the next level? We are seeking a passionate and innovative Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our dynamic seating team.

What You Will Do :
- Design major components and systems using state-of-the-art computer design and engineering tools.
- Develop and improve products, facilitating efficient manufacturing operations.
- Create detailed layouts, sketches, and notes for design proposals, considering ease of manufacture, material availability, and cost efficiency.
- Conduct in-depth investigations into design factors such as strength-weight efficiency and contractual specifications.
- Design, develop, and test both metallic and non-metallic structures and their fabrication processes.
- Ensure clarity, completeness, and accuracy in all design layouts and drawings.
- Collaborate with other engineering teams to coordinate interrelated designs and ensure seamless project completion.
- Perform weight analyses to meet contractual requirements without compromising structural integrity.
- Lead cost studies and provide technical leadership to junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Travel Requirements : 0-10% to a local sister site.
Qualifications You Must Have :
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws / regulations and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. RTX will not offer sponsorship for this position.
