Weaving Machine Operator - 2nd Shift

Job Objective : Ability to operate weaving looms and become proficient in weaving process, following established Standard Operating Procedures.

Maintain Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost standards.

Essential Job Functions :

Follow prescribed safety rules and regulations.

Operate set (s) of looms. Repair breaks, draw in, repair smashes, perform style changes, ensure construction conforms to style sheets.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.

Doff loom pancakes and transfer to carts.

Accurately complete necessary production paperwork and data entry.

Ability to work well with others in a team environment

Excellent attendance required

Full time presence required

Ability to work overtime as required or requested including extended shifts and weekends.

Additional tasks as assigned

Job Qualifications :

Ability to read, write and perform basic data entry.

Ability to complete Hazardous Communications training.

Ability to successfully complete lock out / tag out training

Ability to be certified to operate powered industrial trucks as listed below.

Proficiency in the use of a ruler.

Ability to wear hearing protection.

Requires good eyesight, ability to see fine detail.

Requires good manual dexterity and eye / hand coordination.

Minimum of three to six months of experience operating machinery.

High school diploma or GED required.

Ability to learn independently including book, web-based and classroom participation
