Infusion Medical Assistant

In this role you will :
- Measure and record patients' vital signs before, during, and after infusion procedures.
- Accurately record patient information about infusion treatments, including medication doses, infusion rates, and patient responses.
- Prepare patients for infusion procedures by explaining the process, addressing concerns, and ensuring patient comfort.
- Ensure the cleanliness and sterility of equipment, including IV lines, needles, and infusion sites.
- Assist physicians and nurses during infusion procedures, providing necessary equipment and support.
- Collect and process lab specimens specific to infusion therapy, such as blood samples for compatibility testing.
- Perform venipuncture for IV access and manage intravenous lines effectively
- Conduct point-of-care testing as required for monitoring patients' response to infusions.
- Administer Electrocardiograms (EKGs) when necessary for patient assessment.
We require :
- Possess a valid Medical Assistant Certificate and a High School Diploma.
- Have a minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant, focusing on infusion therapy.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred, enhancing communication with diverse patient populations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel for accurate documentation and data management.
Hours : Monday Friday and alternating Saturdays
