About The Position
Job Title : Occupational Therapist Job Specialty : Home Health Hospice Job Duration : 13 Weeks Shift : 8 Hour Days, Monday - Friday Guaranteed Hours : 40 Hours per Week Experience : Willing to accept new graduates;
first-time travelers accepted License : South Dakota Licensure Certifications : - Basic Life Support (BLS) - National accreditation through NBCOT Must-Have : - Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy Job Description : - Work with medically compromised patients, including those with CHF, COPD, Diabetes, Cardiac issues, orthopedic and neurological conditions, dementia, and general weakness.
Patient ages vary from early adult to geriatrics.- Responsibilities include general occupational therapy skills such as evaluation, determining effective interventions, performing medical assessments, and developing care plans.
- Collaborate with the Home Health Department team, which includes RNs, LPNs, PTAs, SLPs, Aides, MSWs, and case managers.
- Utilize the EPIC charting system for documentation.- Orientation generally takes approximately one week and includes EPIC orientation, shadowing, and learning the documentation process.
- No float requirements outside the designated area.- No weekend rotation, call, or work on the six major holidays.- Professional attire includes any color scrubs or business casual.
Denim and sweats are not permitted.
