The Lead Field Service Technician will troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair refuse collection vehicles out in the field, specifically our Volterra ZSL Electric Refuse Collection Vehicle.
Will be responsible for training other technicians in order to develop their skills, knowledge and understanding of proper repair techniques.

Will train the right person who is willing to travel and learn new technologies as well as diagnostic techniques.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENT :
- This position will be based in the field and require daily travel within assigned territories.
- Technicians will be provided a company vehicle and a company Fuel Card to pay for vehicle expenses.
- Must be able to be insured by McNeilus.
- 80% Travel.
YOUR IMPACT :
- Conduct all aspects of advance repairs on all Volterra ZSL Electric Refuse Collection Vehicle.
- Train other technicians by assisting them with troubleshooting and accurate way of searching for parts.
- Inspect and troubleshoot different types of vehicles to determine a resolution.
- Assist technicians with Quality Control issues when necessary.
- Continuously maintain a safe and orderly work environment.
- Maintain one's own service truck in good working order, clean and presentable.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
- High School Diploma or its equivalent.
- Five (5) or more years of experience in the field or in a related area.
- Experience with chassis maintenance or repair.
- Advanced electrical and diagnostic experience or certifications.
- Good mechanical and electrical aptitudes, knowledge of electrical / electronic systems and hydraulics, and the ability to read and understand schematics.
- Good written / verbal communication and customer care skills.
- Valid Driver’s License.
STANDOUT QUALIFICATIONS :
- Experience as a Field Service Technician.
- Experience with welding and hydraulic systems.
- Experience in mentoring and training others.

PAY :
$32- $40 / hr. dependent on experience and qualifications. We give you an additional Per Diem (money per day) every day you're on the road.
Job Type : Full-time
Expected hours : 40 50 per week.
Schedule :
- 8 hour shift.
- Overtime.
- Weekends as needed.
