Senior Software Engineer

What will YOU be doing for us? Development and support of multiple data ingestion processes, both proprietary and EDI, leveraging a modern data streaming architecture.

What will YOU be working on every day?

Actively participate in EDI modernization development effort to sunset SSIS and implement Streaming (Kafka / Redpanda)

Actively participate on an Agile scrum team, sizing work efforts and decomposing functionality and iteratively delivering value.

Reverse engineer documentation from legacy production code for existing undocumented processes

Work collaboratively with internal resources to assess and understand technical specifications and business requirements for new systems including data streaming modernization initiatives.

Analyze requests from internal and external clients to determine scope of request and establish technical requirements to successfully complete the request and communicate technical information to internal and external clients to ensure shared information

Maintain responsibility for timely and accurate project completion.

Unit test development

Triage production issues and affect solutions

Provide technical advice to lead and / or support new and existing client implementation and maintenance.

Provide technical assistance to other internal teams.

Performance and optimization analysis.

Research, define, and implement new methods to modify the system to improve workflows.

Additional Responsibilities :

Develop new processes for currently unsupported HIPAA EDI standards.

Develop and maintain technical documentation

Research technologies to enhance process performance.

Perform diagnostics of new and existing processes.

Assess the quality of data contained within system databases.

Maintain current modules, applications or processes in production.

Perform routine and ad hoc data maintenance.

What qualifications do YOU need to have to be GOOD candidate?

Required Level of Education, Licenses, and / or Certificates

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related degree or equivalent years of experience.

Required Level of Experience

Four years of professional work experience in a software engineering role using data streaming technologies.

Three years of demonstrated data integration experience using modern data streaming technologies (Kafka, Redpanda) building producer, consuming producer, and leveraging associated patterns

Demonstrated experience with developing REST API's, .NET Core, .NET 8, services

Previous experience in successful technical training of co-workers.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Strong knowledge of data streaming technologies (Kafka / Redpanda)

Strong knowledge of database application and data query protocol (MS SQL Server, Transact-SQL).

Strong knowledge of C#

Strong knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

Strong knowledge of Agile Methodology

Ability to manage projects to successful outcomes within required timeframes.

Basic knowledge of health industry

The salary range and midpoint is listed below for your reference. Please keep in mind that your education and experience along with your knowledge, skills and abilities are taken into consideration when determining placement within the range.

Compensation Range :

$114,838.00 - $172,258.00

Compensation Midpoint :

$143,548.00
