Our client, a fast-growing energy company, is looking for a Project Manager to join their dedicated team advancing renewable energy solutions.
This role offers the opportunity to work collaboratively in helping clients reduce energy and water usage while lowering greenhouse gas emissions.
Position Summary :
The Project Manager will oversee project execution and provide critical support to the Director of Project Management and Construction, focusing on energy conservation initiatives.
This position requires strong project management expertise and a proactive approach to handling multiple large-scale projects, such as solar installations, HVAC upgrades, lighting and water conservation, and battery storage solutions.
Key Responsibilities :
- Oversee all aspects of project management, including subcontractor oversight, client communications, and the preparation of project reports (financial, performance, and schedule).
- Review and evaluate change orders, contractor invoices, and audit reports, ensuring compliance with environmental, safety, and schedule standards.
- Lead project schedule development and ensure adherence, actively managing timelines and budgets.
- Maintain effective relationships with subcontractors, internal team members, and clients.
- Prepare and analyze project financial reports, providing updates to senior management.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering (structural, mechanical, civil, or electrical), or a related field preferred.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in project management and construction, including contract administration and personnel management (10+ years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree).
- Proven track record in managing energy efficiency or solar projects, with strong knowledge of building systems and energy conservation technologies in lighting, water conservation, and HVAC.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project, and Procore.
- Willingness to travel within the Mid-Atlantic region to support project needs.
- Demonstrated success managing large, design / build performance projects in energy conservation.
- Contracting experience with government (local, state, or federal) or academic institutions is a plus.
