JOB SUMMARY
This is highly responsible technical work administrating support for the maintenance and operations of the County’s SharePoint Online system.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Administer and maintain the SharePoint Online environment
Create, configure and customize SharePoint sites, lists, libraries, workflows, and other features to meet business requirements.
Manage user permissions and access controls to ensure data security and compliance with organizational policies.
Monitor SharePoint performance and troubleshoot issues, such as site errors, permissions problems, and workflow failures.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and implement solutions using SharePoint functionality.
Train end-users on SharePoint best practices, features, and functionality.
Create and maintain documentation related to SharePoint configurations, processes, and procedures.
Stay current with SharePoint updates, patches, and new features, and implement them as needed.
- Performs system back-ups and recovery.
- Maintains a full-time presence on the job.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science or related IT field, or an equivalent combination of education, experience, certification, and training that would provide the required knowledge and abilities to thoroughly understand and perform the major duties of the position.
- Sufficient experience to understand the basic principles relevant to the major duties of the position, associated with the completion of an apprenticeship / internship or having had a similar position for a minimum of one year.
- A candidate may be designated as a Senior SharePoint Administrator and placed at pay grade 19 with possession of a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, or related IT field, or an equivalent combination of education, experience, certification, and training.
In addition, have a minimum of three (3) years of experience working directly within the SharePoint Administration field.
Must possess and maintain a valid Florida driver’s license and any other endorsements necessary to legally operate vehicles used while assigned to this position.
Proficiency in configuring and customizing sites, lists, and workflows.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS
Knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications and services.
Knowledge of Windows operating systems, as well as SQL Server, Power BI, PowerShell, and Office 365.
Knowledge of computers and job-related software programs.
Skill in the analysis of problems and the development and implementation of solutions.
Skill in the preparation of clear and precise administrative reports.
