We have added a provider to our care team and we need a Medical Assistant for support. Our office is fast-paced. This will not be a boring job.
We recently went in to a services agreement with Tampa General Hospital and have an increase in patients and are busier than ever.

Clinical duties : Taking medical histories and recording vital signs, explaining treatment procedures to patients, preparing patients for examination, and assisting the physician during the examination.
- Escort patients to exam rooms, interviews patients, measure vital signs, including weight, blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and document all information in patient’s chart
- Give instructions to patients as instructed by physician or physician assistant
- Ensure all related reports, labs and information is filed is available inpatients’ medical records prior to their appointment
- Keep exam rooms stocked with adequate medical supplies, maintain instruments, prepare sterilization as required
- Take telephone messages and provide feedback and answers to patient / physician / pharmacy calls
- Triage and process messages from patients and front office staff to physicians and physician assistants
- Maintain all logs and required checks (i.e. refrigerator temperatures, emergency medications, expired medications, oxygen, cold sterilization fluid change, etc.)
- Epic experience always a plus!
Requirements :
We seek a Medical Assistant that has excellent organizational skills, is skilled at prioritizing tasks, and can communicate effectively, efficiently and in a timely matter with patients.
Ability to perform phlebotomy and administer injections. We are looking for a team player that can help out with a smile on their face.
Urology experience desired but not required. Must have excellent knowledge of medical terminology. Bilingual English / Spanish is preferred but not required.
