KITCHEN KETTLE VILLAGE is now accepting applications for a PART-TIME SALES ASSOCIATE AT THE VILLAGE SOAP COMPANY . The Village Soap Company makes on-site, handmade, plant-based soaps and bath essentials (bar soap, foaming soaps, bath bombs, shower steamers, laundry soap, shower oil, and beard oil just to name a few).
This position will assist not only in guest services, but also in making the mentioned products.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS of this position include, but are not limited to :
- Ensure that each guest receives outstanding guest service by providing a guest-friendly environment, including greeting, and acknowledging every guest, maintaining outstanding standards, solid product knowledge, and all other components of guest service.
- Actively and enthusiastically engage guests in featured product demonstrations.
- Produce detailed knowledge (usage, ingredients, allergens, etc.) of product lines within the shop.
- Accurately handle all forms of sales / money transactions and wrap / bag guest purchases efficiently.
- Open and close registers as needed
- Price and set up merchandise display or arrange merchandise on counters or tables to promote sales as directed by retail leaders.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS / WORK ENVIRONMENT
This job requires being on your feet for up to eight hours at a time. You must be able to walk at a brisk pace from location to location for a full day’s shift.
You may be asked to lift or move objects up to 50 pounds and use a stepstool. Twisting, bending, reaching, stooping, or kneeling is required.
This position routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers / fax machines, cash drawers, and filing cabinets.
Can be hectic and fast-paced. The noise level is sometimes loud. Temperatures can vary. There is exposure to a variety of scents.
