- Lead and support the current team while growing the water / wastewater practice.
- Maintain and develop client relationships, manage projects, and mentor junior staff.
- Promote the water / wastewater practice through sales and outreach.
- Build and lead a team, communicate effectively, and possess a strong understanding of water and wastewater engineering principles.
Key Responsibilities :
- Manage water and wastewater projects including system distribution, treatment, pump and lift stations, studies, modeling, design, and construction administration.
- Set goals and objectives for project teams, coordinate resources, and ensure project delivery.
- Mentor junior engineers and supervise their work.
- Lead marketing and proposal efforts, including preparing proposals and presentations, and developing scope and fee structures.
Required Qualifications :
- BS Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (MS degree is a plus).
- 11+ years of water and wastewater experience.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in North Carolina.
- At least 5 years of experience managing multi-disciplined water and wastewater projects.
- Proficiency in MicroStation and / or AutoCAD.
- Familiarity with local municipalities (City of Raleigh, City of Durham, PWC, OWASA, High Point, etc.).
- Knowledge of NCDOT methods and procedures is a plus.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage client relationships and lead project pursuits.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
