About The Position

Job Description : We are seeking a skilled and experienced CT Tech to join our healthcare team in Rochester, NY, for a 13-week contract.

The ideal candidate will have experience in PET CT and be certified in Nuclear Medicine. Responsibilities include reviewing patient history and physician's orders, educating patients, positioning patients for imaging procedures, ensuring proper imaging techniques, and analyzing imaging results.

Key Responsibilities :

Review patient history and physician's orders.

Educate patients about procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure understanding and cooperation.

Position patients and perform imaging procedures.

Ensure proper imaging techniques based on patient age and ability to understand the procedure.

Review patient information and interpret data to confirm an appropriate plan and intervention specific to age-related needs.

Perform nuclear medicine imaging and therapy according to applicable standards and organizational policies.

Analyze imaging results and identify quality issues, taking appropriate action to resolve them.

Enter, transmit, and report scan results.

Order, prepare, administer, store, and dispose of radiopharmaceuticals per established protocols and regulations.

Monitor patient condition continually and respond to changes in status as appropriate.

Maintain appropriate inventory of supplies in the Clinical Nuclear Medicine rooms.

Job Requirements :

Certification as a CT Tech with experience in PET CT.

Certified as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or registered as a Radiologic Technologist (RT) and certified in Nuclear Medicine (NM) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).

Valid NYS License.

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.

Minimum of 2 years of experience in the field.
