The Role
As a member of our HR Solutions team, you will work on the most critical strategic priorities as a business-facing internal HR consultant and talent strategist.
In a project-based, time-bound capacity, HR Solutions professionals have a multi-faceted responsibility to work across business leaders / teams, People Strategists, HR COE’s, as a top internal consultant and talent expert, while also frequently driving the execution of assigned projects.
The Director of HR Solutions leads multiple cross-functional project teams to develop and execute HR Solutions to drive business impact through innovative talent strategies on our highest priority, most strategic, and complex projects.
Project deliverables include talent-oriented solutions aimed at results of effective intake and discovery processes and root cause analysis findings.
Solutions implemented may include tailored design (e.g. workshops,) and off-the-shelf COE service offerings.
Location
This is a fully remote position open to candidates based anywhere in the U.S. Approximately 10% travel (varied dependent upon project needs)
The Main Responsibilities
- Lead multiple cross-functional teams to provide actionable insights for business leaders and People Strategists, develop and execute strategies impacting organizational performance.
- Lead organizational change management (OCM) connecting business and people strategies, guiding the organization through change.
- Build trust and credibility through courageous leadership and business acumen, leveraging analytics to inform decision-making and influence business outcomes.
- Identify and evaluate project risks, provide project prioritization inputs, and leverage analytical skills to maintain a broad business perspective.
- Ensure on-time delivery of project updates, ensuring a strong stakeholder experience, run effective project team meetings, and instill accountability throughout the project lifecycle.
- Integrate employee engagement and experience strategies, along with Lumen’s cultural transformation and IDEAS objectives, into projects.
- Leverage HR systems, Technology, and AI capabilities to maximize efficiency and overall effectiveness.
- Identify and document success metrics, What success looks like and ensure all projects are measured at agreed upon stages for overall effectiveness.

The ideal candidate is collaborative, courageous, and influential, with deep HR experience leveraging a consultative approach, uses data to inform decision-making, and has demonstrated success in analyzing and diagnosing organizational and talent needs, developing successful solutions, and leading implementation of solutions.
Qualifications
Required :
- Bachelor's degree in HR or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of progressive HR experience with expertise in talent and organizational strategy, or related fields with 4+ years of direct or matrixed leadership experience.
- Agile and flexible, with extraordinary collaboration skills and ability to influence business-unit or functional leaders.
- Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to lead multiple high-priority projects simultaneously.
- Excellent time and process management skills, and project management experience partnered with demonstrated analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills.
Preferred :
- Master’s degree in HR or a related field.
- PMP certification.
- Professional HR certification(s) such as SHRM, SPHR, or HRCI.
Compensation
The starting salary for this role differs based on the employee's primary work location. Employees typically do not start at the top of the range, though compensation depends on each individual's qualifications.

$128,310 - $171,080 in these states : AR ID KY LA ME MS NE SC SD
$135,060 - $180,080 in these states : AL AZ FL GA IA IN KS MO MT ND NM OH OK PA TN UT VT WI WV WY
$141,820 - $189,090 in these states : CO HI MI MN NC NH NV OR RI
$148,570 - $198,090 in these states : AK CA CT DC DE IL MA MD NJ NY TX VA WA
This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location.
