Data Analyst
Summary : Staff designated at Dickinson Wright PLLC ( the Firm ) as Data Analyst are responsible for providing professional support services to Attorneys and Clients of the Firm as assigned on a full time basis unless otherwise arranged with the Firm.
You will support our analytics department by performing essential data-related tasks. Your role will involve collecting, organizing, and maintaining data, as well as assisting with basic analysis and reporting.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Essential duties and responsibilities of staff designated as Data Analyst at the Firm include but are not limited to :
- Data Collection and Entry
- Collect data from various sources, including internal databases and external websites.
- Input and update data accurately in the firm's databases and spreadsheets.
- Basic Data Analysis
- Assist with basic data analysis tasks, such as calculating summary statistics and creating simple charts.
- Help prepare data for more advanced analysis by senior team members.
- Provide support in the areas of practice management, attorney performance, marketing, and profitability analytics.
- Reporting
- Assist in the preparation of regular reports and dashboards for internal stakeholders.
- Create and update dashboards to track key metrics.
- Present data in a clear and concise manner using charts, graphs, and other visual aids.
- Data Quality Assurance
- Data Cleaning and Maintenance.
- Address data inconsistencies and work with relevant teams to rectify issues.
- Perform data cleaning to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Regularly update and maintain data sets to ensure data integrity.
- Administrative Support
- Provide general administrative support to the analytics team.
- Help organize and manage data files and documentation.
- Collaboration
- Work closely with team members to understand data needs and provide timely support.
- Assist with special projects as needed, under the guidance of senior analysts.Pricing Analytics.
- Analyze and develop pricing strategies to maximize profitability.
- Evaluate the impact of different pricing models on client acquisition, retention, and satisfaction.
- Provide recommendations for fee structures and billing practices.
- Perform other tasks and projects as assigned by the Vice-President Data Analytics to improve pricing efficiency, business process and resources.
Qualifications, Skills and Abilities Required :
Data Analyst must have :
- Bachelors’ degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or similar required;
- 1-2 years’ experience in roles requiring financial analysis, preferably working within the legal industry or other professional services field;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Advanced organizational skills, including the ability to manage a high volume of work with accuracy and attention to detail;
- Demonstrated technical aptitude with business and accounting software applications and the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel.
- SQL and Power BI reporting experience a plus;
- Exceptional communication skills at all levels within an organization and the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with attorneys, clients and staff.
Working Conditions :
Normal law office environment with little exposure to noise, dust, temperature.
Hybrid position 2 days / week in office. Applicants should reside within driving distance of a Dickinson Wright location.
Travel requirement : less than 5% travel to Dickinson Wright offices
