About the job :

Some key responsibilities you will own in this role include :

• Assisting veterinarians in oncology procedures and treatments.
• Monitoring patients during chemotherapy and radiation therapy sessions.
• Providing compassionate care and support to both patients and their owners.
• Conducting diagnostic tests and preparing samples for analysis.
• Maintaining accurate medical records and ensuring compliance with protocols.

Compensation :

• RVT compensation : $30 - $40 / hr and a $3,000 Sign-On Bonus!
• Senior Veterinary Assistant compensation : $26 - $34 / hr and a $2,000 Sign-On Bonus!
• Our location differential is 10% of base pay
• Our swing shift differentials are $3 / hour
• Our overnight shift differentials are $5 / hour

Work Schedule :

Full-Time with flexibility for scheduling Monday-Saturday is required!

Basic Required Qualifications :

• High school diploma
• 3+ years of clinical experience in the veterinary industry, RVT license preferred
• Strong interpersonal skills to effectively interface with staff and clients using tact, patience, professional courtesy, and exhibit confidentiality and discretion where appropriate
• Consistent and reliable ability to perform mathematical calculations for drug doses, CRIs, client invoices and estimates, and other position-related calculations
• Maintain the California Veterinary Assistant Controlled Substance Permit (VACSP); must obtain within 60-days of hire or transfer into this role;

this requirement is waived if incumbent holds a valid CA-RVT license)
