Director of Mergers and Acquisitions
As a Director of Mergers and Acquisitions at Aptive, you will play a pivotal role driving inorganic growth through Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) to further Aptive's overall growth objectives.
Expertise in creating targeted pipelines, fostering relationships with prospects and compelling interest is a key tenet of this role.
Furthermore, you will assist with financial analysis, due diligence, and deal structuring as may be necessary. This role requires a self-starter with a strategic mindset who takes the initiative and is motivated by new challenges.
This position will work closely with senior leaders across the company, including Aptive's C-Suite.
Responsibilities include :
Proactively build and maintain targeted pipeline by identifying and assessing potential M&A opportunities that align with Aptive's growth strategy and financial objectives.
Source targeted prospects and cultivate relationships with respective stakeholders.
Facilitate M&A engagement and be the initial POC for eliciting interest and building out a robust pipeline. Additionally, and as necessary / upon request, assist with , due diligence, negotiations, and advise on integration efforts.
Target and evaluate potential acquisition opportunities from a qualitative and quantitative perspective.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitive landscape, and market dynamics to inform M&A strategy and decision-making.
Partner with M&A committee members to evaluate acquisition target criteria and revise according to market conditions.
Upon request, assist with due diligence findings into clear and compelling investment cases for review by senior executives and the Board.
Collaborate with operations, strategy, technology, legal, finance, and other cross-functional teams to drive deal diligence, integration planning, documentation, and implementation.
Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to align corporate development efforts with overall company goals.
Cultivate and maintain relationships with key stakeholders internally and externally to build a deal pipeline and drive inorganic growth.
Qualifications :
A Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, or a related field or relevant years of experience.
Minimum of five years of experience with a proven track record of executing successful M&A transactions.
Experience originating and driving deal processes and diligence, including interaction with counterparts and advisers, for a wide variety of transactions.
Experience in home, residential, service based, recurring-revenue, or subscription-based business.
Exceptional communication and executive presence with the ability to influence, and present concepts, recommendations, and analyses to senior management in a clear, concise, and actionable manner.
Ability to build and maintain a network of senior-level relationships externally and internally to facilitate deal sourcing and execution of strategic priorities.
Required Skills :
MBA with at least three years of post-MBA work experience
Experience reviewing legal agreements and working with counsel to iterate deal documentation
