Position Description
The Radio Astronomy Laboratory at the University of California, Berkeley seeks applications for a Junior / Assistant Specialist in radio astronomy. The Junior / Assistant Specialist will be engaged in designing and optimizing radio frequency systems for astronomical observations, aiding in data analysis, and assisting in research publication. This role requires collaboration within a research team and potential travel for observational tasks.
In addition to technical design work, the Junior / Assistant Specialist will contribute to the processing and analysis of observational data, using relevant software tools and techniques to extract meaningful scientific results. They will also assist in the preparation of research findings for publication in academic journals and presentations at scientific conferences.
