A Y Combinator company, we are seeking a Senior Mobile App Engineer to join our remote team. We enjoy the support of many prominent angel investors and venture capital firms.
Job Description
Responsibilities :
- Develop, test and maintain native SDK (software development kit) on iOS and Android mobile platforms.
- Deliver clean, well-tested code and meet project deadlines.
- Partner with our Product Manager, marketing team, executive leadership and users to prioritize and deliver constant updates to the app(s) in a timely manner.
- Engage in regular code reviews with colleagues to review, analyze, improve and teach coding skills.
- Work with entry and intermediate level developers to improve their software development skills, acting as the technical lead for the product engineering team.
- Continuously learn and grow as a software developer, keeping up to date with emerging technologies and trends.
Requirements :
- Minimum 5 years experience of mobile software development.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or the equivalent in software development experience.
- Deep understanding of React Native and Expo.
- Strong background working with frameworks including Expo, React Native, Stream and Web View components.
- Experience with cloud platforms including Google Cloud Platform and Firebase for Authentication.
- Experience building, running and updating testing frameworks.
- Experience with Postgres.
- Knowledge of implementing and supporting RESTful APIs.
- Provide a portfolio of apps or SDKs you have built and deployed to the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
- Bonus : experience in building and scaling a consumer facing app(s).
Compensation :
Base salary of $100k-$120k depending on experience. Participation in the Company’s generous stock option plan. Health and other benefits.
Reimbursement for on-going training. Work from home ok.
