Job Description :

As an Emergency Department Registered Nurse, you will play a crucial role in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care for patients in the emergency department.

Key responsibilities include :

• Providing immediate and effective nursing care for patients in emergency situations, with conditions ranging from minor injuries to life-threatening illnesses.
• Working collaboratively with the emergency healthcare team to stabilize patients, manage pain, and prevent complications.
• Monitoring vital signs, administering medications and treatments, and using medical equipment as necessary.
• Communicating effectively with patients and their families, providing emotional support and education about their conditions and care.
• Documenting all patient interactions, treatments, medications, and responses in patient records accurately and timely.

Education & Certification Requirements :

To qualify for this exciting opportunity, you will need :

• Current New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• BSN preferred or Associate Degree in Nursing with a commitment to obtain BSN within a specified timeframe.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification required.
• Previous experience in an emergency department or acute care setting highly preferred.
• Strong clinical skills with the ability to react decisively in emergency situations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate approach to patient care.
