Millwright/Maintenance Technician

We’re looking for a dedicated Millwright / Maintenance Mechanic to maintain and repair our rock crushing, screening, and conveying equipment.
Position Overview : Are you a skilled Millwright or Maintenance Mechanic looking for a new challenge? Join Southwest Waste Services and play a key role in maintaining and improving our production equipment and facilities.
We are looking for a detail-oriented professional with a strong background in mechanical maintenance, installation, and repair of industrial machinery.
Key Responsibilities : Equipment Maintenance : Perform routine and preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.
Troubleshooting and Repairs : Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical issues on a variety of industrial machines.
Installation : Install, align, and dismantle industrial machinery and equipment according to blueprints and technical manuals.
Fabrication : Perform welding and fabrication tasks as needed to maintain and modify equipment. Safety Compliance : Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
Documentation : Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory. Collaboration : Work closely with other maintenance team members and production staff to address equipment issues promptly and efficiently.
Qualifications Demonstrated track record as a Millwright or Maintenance Mechanic within industrial environments Exceptional mechanical aptitude Comprehensive understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems Proficiency in electrical systems, including 480-volt industrial electrical work Expertise in PLC operations and step-down transformers Competent welding skills Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent Technical certification or apprenticeship in millwright or industrial maintenance preferred Advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively Strong attention to detail and commitment to excellence Consistent punctuality and dependability Physical Requirements Capacity to perform strenuous tasks, including : Lifting heavy equipment Climbing Standing for prolonged periods Key Attributes Dedication to maintaining equipment reliability Commitment to producing high-quality work What We Offer : Competitive pay Comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, and retirement plans Paid time off and vacation Opportunities for career growth and advancement A supportive and collaborative work environment Apply Now!
