Responsibilities :
- Perform venipuncture and capillary puncture on patients of all ages.
- Collect and label specimens accurately, ensuring proper patient identification.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Adhere to strict infection control and safety protocols.
- Provide excellent customer service, ensuring patients are comfortable during the procedure.
- Communicate effectively with patients, explaining the procedure and addressing any concerns.
- Assist in processing and preparing specimens for laboratory testing.
- Ensure proper disposal of biohazard materials.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and clinic staff to ensure the efficient operation of the clinic.
Qualifications :
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Completion of an accredited Phlebotomy program.
- Current California Phlebotomy Technician Certification (CPT).
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Minimum of 1-3 years of phlebotomy experience in a clinical setting.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and infection control practices.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
