About The Position
Job Title : Registered Nurse Job Specialty : Wound Care Job Duration : 13 Weeks Shift : Day 3x12-Hour (06 : 30 - 19 : 00) Guaranteed Hours : 40 Hours per Week Experience : 2 Years of Wound / Ostomy Experience Preferred License : Valid Compact License Required Certifications : BLS & ACLS Required;
NIH and Wound Certification Preferred Must-Have : EPIC Experience from the Last Year Required Job Description : - Work in an inpatient wound care clinic as part of a team handling wound assessments and treatments without specific ratios.
- Perform ostomy education for new ostomates. - Provide care for conditions such as Type 2 Diabetes with ulcers, Venous Stasis Ulcers, and Pressure Injuries.
- Conduct procedures including negative pressure wound therapy dressing changes, skin substitutes, debridements, total contact casting, and compression wraps.
- Potential floating between inpatient and outpatient wound care is expected. - Adhere to the zero-fault attendance policy where any missed scheduled shift is unexcused;
two missed shifts result in a warning, and three or more may lead to cancellation.- Complete all pre-start modules and attend the 8-hour on-site orientation.
No block scheduling requests or special scheduling accommodations. - No time-off requests around major holidays : Mother's Day, Memorial Day, Father's Day, Independence Day, and Labor Day.
