R&D Technician

Advantage Technical is seeking an R&D Technician for our client onsite in Marlboro, MA! Our client, a national Medical Manufacturing company located along 495.

This position works independently to assist R&D engineers, scientists, and / or teams in the development and analysis of products, materials, processes, or equipment.

First shift $36.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities

• Develop concepts and accordingly construct prototypes / products from concepts.
• Utilize basic mechanical drawing or CAD software to document prototypes and fixtures.
• Explore and propose creative solutions based on solid rationales and contribute to design and process concepts.
• Organize, coordinate, and execute building and testing of prototypes / products per engineering instructions.
• Assist project teams in establishing specifications and quality standards.
• Use internal resources and qualified external vendors to assist engineering teams to identify and obtain supplies and services.
• Act as a resource to other employees.
• Communicate project status to project teams.

Quality Systems Duties and Responsibilities :

• Build Quality into all aspects of their work by maintaining compliance to all quality requirements.
• Qualifications AA Degree or equivalent work experience in related discipline and 3 years of related experience.

Additional Job Specific Requirements :

• Perform R&D Medical Device Product Testing per Approved Test Methods.
• Assist in Development of Test Methods.
• Perform Test Method Validation Testing.
• Complete all assigned training within established deadlines.
• Assist with equipment Calibration and Maintenance programs.
• Document test results clearly and concisely per industry standards. Perform other duties as the needs of the business dictate.
• LabVIEW experience is desired.
• Experience with laboratory test equipment is preferred.
