About the Role :
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Student Worker to join our team at the University of Indianapolis. As a Student Worker, you will be responsible for providing support to the Food Service Workers (FSW) in our retail trade industry.
Your major end result will be to ensure that our customers receive high-quality service and satisfaction. You will be working in a fast-paced environment, where you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and gain valuable experience in the retail trade industry.
Minimum Qualifications :
- Must be a current student at the University of Indianapolis
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 25 pounds
Preferred Qualifications :
- Previous experience in the food service industry
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
- Experience handling cash and credit card transactions
Responsibilities :
- Assist FSW in preparing and serving food and beverages to customers
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area
- Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately and efficiently
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions and addressing concerns
- Follow all safety and sanitation procedures to ensure a safe and healthy work environment
Skills :
As a Student Worker, you will utilize your excellent communication and interpersonal skills to provide exceptional customer service.
You will also use your attention to detail to maintain a clean and organized dining area. Additionally, you will use your ability to handle cash and credit card transactions accurately and efficiently.
Your ability to work in a fast-paced environment and follow safety and sanitation procedures will be crucial to your success in this role.
Finally, your previous experience in the food service industry and knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations will be beneficial in this position.
