LocumJobsOnline is working with Lancesoft Inc to find a qualified Orthopedic Surgery MD in Washington!

About The Position

Level II Trauma facility in Tacoma, WA, is seeking a Board-Certified Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon to provide locum coverage two weeks per month . The position offers a rewarding opportunity to serve a diverse patient population with a full spectrum of orthopedic trauma cases (excluding complex pelvic injuries), with strong hospital and PA / MA support.

Position Overview :

Start Date : December 25, 2025

Coverage Dates :

Initial coverage : 12 / 25 (AM) – 1 / 1 (AM)

Ongoing : 2 weeks per month (dates vary based on internal coverage)

Setting : Hospital (inpatient trauma) & outpatient clinic

Schedule :

24 / 7 trauma ER coverage during assigned weeks

Outpatient clinic : 3 half-days per week (days TBD, Mon–Fri)

Support :

Dedicated Physician Assistant (PA) for ER trauma

Medical Assistant (MA) in the clinic

Patient Volume : Varies, typically 0–7 admissions / day

EMR : EPIC

FTE : 1.0 during coverage weeks

Call Structure :

Daily 24-hour call with 4 gratis hours included

Nightly and holiday call options

Call-back pay after gratis hours

Job Requirements

Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery

Fellowship-Trained in Orthopedic Trauma

Minimum 5 years of Level II Trauma experience

BLS and DEA – Required (can be obtained after offer)
