About The Position
Job Title : Surgical Technologist Job Specialty : OR Tech (Operating Room Technology) Job Duration : 13 Weeks Shift : 10-Hour Days Plus Call Guaranteed Hours : 40 Hours Per Week Experience : Minimum 2 Years License : Not Required for Submission Certifications : BLS (Preferred : CST) Must-Have : - Ability to handle total joints, robotics, general laparoscopic cases, urology, hand and foot surgeries, and breast cases including reconstructions.
Job Description : Work in a fast-paced operating room environment with over 400 cases per month, including both adult and pediatric patients.
- Engage primarily in outpatient procedures across a variety of specialties including orthopedics, general surgery, obstetrics-gynecology, robotics, plastics, ENT, urology, hand surgery, podiatry, and breast reconstructions.
- Operate under an electronic medical records system (EPIC).- Participate in on-call rotations with requirements of 6-7 call shifts per month, including 2-3 weekends for each 13-week contract, and at least 1 holiday call per year depending on staffing needs.
- Wear designated scrub color / dress code as provided.- Complete 1-3 days of unit / department-specific orientation.- Work in a department with a strong culture of teamwork, growing volumes, and collaboration between staff, anesthesia, and surgeons.
- Exhibit qualities such as being a hard worker, fast and efficient, attention to details, excellent team player, and strong interpersonal skills.
- Show flexibility in taking calls, including short notice, and in adapting to shifting schedules to meet volume needs.Note : Candidates must be situated beyond a 50-mile radius from the facility and are required to disclose any time off needed before commencing the contract.
Flexibility in rescheduling around unavailable dates is limited once submissions are made.
