Purpose

To open and date stamp the mail received by the Office of Admissions, Processing section. Distribute the mail to the appropriate inboxes.

Other Processing duties as needed.

Responsibilities

Open mail (Admissions documents and transcripts.

Date stamp each item and route to the appropriate inboxes.

Required Qualifications

High school graduation or GED. Three years of clerical experience. Extremely responsible, detail-oriented, and organized.

Must have excellent communication skills, professional demeanor, and ability to learn quickly, follow instructions, stay on task, and communicate effectively.

Demonstrated knowledge of computers and standard office equipment.

Preferred Qualifications

2 years (60 semester hours) of college, more than 3 years of cleric experience, student records experience, and experience with confidential information.

Hourly Rate

$20.00

Working Conditions

Attire : Business Casual

Standard Office Environment, Use of manual dexterity, Repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation

Work Shift

Hours per week - 29

The work schedule is from 8 : 00 a.m. to 2 : 00 p.m.

9 am-3 pm is also an option. The position is 29 hours per week. Can work 6 hours / day four days and 5 hours / day one day each week.

Employment Eligibility :

Regular staff who have been employed in their current position for the last six continuous months are eligible for openings being recruited for through University-Wide or Open Recruiting, to include both promotional opportunities and lateral transfers.

Retirement Plan Eligibility :

The retirement plan for this position is Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS), subject to the position being at least 20 hours per week and at least 135 days in length.
