This position is responsible for identifying and delivering innovative solutions to complex business problems within Allegion’s Manufacturing environment.

Primarily the Senior Business Analyst will be accountable for the design, development, execution, and advisement of technical and process solutions.

The Senior Business Analyst will apply their problem-solving skills to the creation of solutions that align with IT and Business strategies.

The Senior Business Analyst will be required to have a deep understanding of requirements, project planning and testing.

The Senior Business Analyst acts as the bridge between product owners and technology teams.

What you will do :

• Design functional business processes that span multiple sites and systems.
• Define ideal and practical business system solutions given unique requirements.
• Drive standardization of functional designs and configurations.
• Drive process, data analysis, data clean-up, conversion and validation.
• Develop and perform detailed unit and integration testing, cut-over planning and execution.
• Facilitate discussions with key stakeholder alignment.
• Create functional design documents that fulfill system and process gaps as needed.
• Partner with technology teams to complete and test code as needed.
• Assist in reviews and discussions with Business and Enterprise Architecture groups.
• Collaborate with individuals across teams to gain an understanding of business objectives, facilitate solutions, develop approaches and define deliverables.
• Partner with teams to understand and identify possible improvements using automation.
• Contribute on key projects and provide assistance to team members across MES platforms.
• Develop innovative technical solutions to help enable business growth and improve our Digital Manufacturing platform.
• Be an expert in Allegion MES applications and be able to teach and demo all functionality.
• Work with leaders, product owners and stakeholders to identify, understand, and capture requirements.
• Gather input on solutions from key technical stakeholders.
• Record requirements in DevOps.
• Create Functional Design Documents.
• Work as the bridge between development and business teams.
• Provide support to users by troubleshooting and working with development team to resolve issues.
• Conduct risk assessment of strategic, technical, finance, or business factors impacting the project.
• Formulate and take corrective actions to mitigate deviations to the project plans and alert management of potential problems.
• Analyze and challenge existing processes and assumptions to help define the best solutions to meet current and future business needs.
• Actively support rapid and continuous improvement events by providing a combined view of business and system processes.

What you need to succeed :

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Information Technology, Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of proven experience within large manufacturing (multi-national) or distribution operations.
• 5+ years of experience as a business analyst, process developer or software engineer.
• Experience working with business units or other IT teams to gather requirements and translate them to a development team.
• Experience developing with gathering business requirements, completing impact assessments and contributing to business cases.
• Demonstrated ability to successfully participate in multiple initiatives simultaneously.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical teams.
• Self-motivated mindset with good time management skills and strong organizational skills.
• Demonstrated knowledge of software development methodologies and best practices.
• Experience with multiple development methodologies including Agile and waterfall.
• Some experience with relational database and large, complex datasets.
• Solid computer skills with the ability to quickly learn new applications and programs.
• Experience producing interactive executive dashboards and / or BI data visualization techniques.
• Preference for knowledge of data query language, data definition and data manipulation.

Travel

25% travel required.
