Buckeye Partners is currently seeking a Sales Representative with experience in product sales in the Oil & Gas Industry to join our team!
Role Summary :
Expand and service Buckeye commercial customer base. Promote the sale Buckeye products through various distribution networks.
Responsibilities & Essential Functions include :
Develop new business in management directed areas. It is expected that extensive personal visits and follow up will play a key role to the success of the new business development.
Customer set-up involves obtaining of credit approval, tax license information and gathering of other additional necessary customer information.
Maintain existing business. It is expected that personal visits and follow up will occur to help effect a maturation of the business relationship.
As the business matures, the Sales Representative will continue to provide any necessary credit and operations support to the account.
Play an active role in petroleum industry groups and or functions in order to promote Buckeye.
Will be required to stay current on pending petroleum related legislation and product changes to better inform new and existing customers.
In all ways provide value added service to our customers.
And other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements :
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or other related discipline required.
MBA would be helpful.
3+ years' experience in the petroleum industry is required.
5+ years of major oil company and / or branded-distributor sales / company-operated retail experience is preferred.
Proficiency using MS Office, including Excel and Word.
Ability to travel up to 50% domestically.

Candidate will need to work independently and be self-motivated.
The typical account base will consist of 200-300 accounts.
Candidate will be required to travel to visit potential and existing customers. They will be asked to represent the Company at various industry functions and organizations.
Candidate should be out-going and an excellent communicator.
Candidate will need to be well organized and action plan oriented.
Essential Functions :

Physical & Safety Requirements :
- The person in this position needs to occasionally move inside the office to access file cabinets, office equipment, etc.
- This role continuously operates a computer and other office productivity equipment (i.e. a calculator, copy machine and computer printer).
