About The Position
Weekly Pay Range - $1689 To $1876 Job Title : Surgical Technologist Job Specialty : Operating Room Technician (OR Tech) Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 8-hour shifts with varied start times Guaranteed Hours : 40 hours per week Experience : Minimum of 2 years in an OR setting License : Required Certifications : BLS, CST Must-Have : 2 years of OR experience;
travel experience is preferred Job Description : Work in a unit equipped with 7 OR suites, handling 15-20 cases per day.
- Certification required for both Techs and RNs must include BLS.- Utilize the Cerner Surginet EMR system.- Report to charge nurse available as needed.
- Participate in a weekend call schedule : one weekend of call per month for CSTs.- Adhere to a weekly call requirement : one call night per week.
- Respond to calls within a 30-minute timeframe.- Work holidays only in emergency situations.- Scrubs are provided; color coordinated for the facility.
- Handle a high volume of orthopedic cases including total joints, as well as general, gynecological, pediatric, and eye surgeries.
- Excluded from cardiac cases such as open heart and TAVRs.- Participate in scrubbing procedures as required.- Complete 12 hours of orientation based on skillset.
- No floating between departments.- Use Phillips tele equipment.- Remote pharmacy access for after-hours use.- Cancellations may occur up to three times per contract, with the potential of being compensated for scheduled hours.
- Sterile processing techs must be certified through IAHCSMM and use equipment like Steris & V-pro autoclaves.
