Supportclients onsite safety assessment efforts the primary role of thepersonnel provided throughout projects on two sites will includethefollowing
1.Oversight of ConstructionActivities
Review and observe sitespecific Health and Safety Plan in order toachieveconformance
Request compliance with the requirements set forth in the projectspecifications
coordinate with individual contractor personnel about theirunderstanding of the safety technical and administrative aspects oftheproject
Review contractor(s) approach to project activities includingcontractor(s) inspections of structures and surrounding areaconditions and development of pertinent documents and plans toinsure safework
Work with contractor personnel review evaluate performance ofprework safety assessments surveys evaluations orinspections
2.Communication
Communicate and coordinate project activities and status to thedesignated project personnel based on an agreed upon communicationplan
Engage and work in partnership with the owner developer and workersto promote safe behaviors safe work practices to the ultimate endof the prevention ofaccidents
Inform Contractor and Management immediately of any significantevents or issues that arise as identified in the Contractor SafetyProgram
Notify the general contractor or subcontractor of observednoncompliance and with requirements of the sitespecific Health andSafety Plan and work with BMS to review their implementation ofcorrective actions to return tocompliance
Report unsafe working conditions or safety hazard exposures to theappropriate personnel whenobserved
Attend and participate in regular projectmeetings
3.SafetyCompliance
Proactively intervene to stop work when observing an unsafe act orcondition that could be of immediate danger to life health orproperty and will notify appropriate personnel according to theestablished communicationplan
Support response efforts in the event of emergencies at thesite
Hold contractor personnel accountable to confirm that safetyorientation training is completed by all new personnel beforebeginningwork
Attend safety meeting sand carry out periodic projectaudits
Have basic understanding of OSHA construction safety guidelines andenforce those on the jobsite
Confirm that required safety permits and approvals are obtainedsubmitted and maintained as necessary for constructionactivities
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in chemical biomedical / biochemical engineeringbiological / chemical sciences or equivalentrequired
- 5years of project management experience in site operations and anengineering degree or; 3 years of industry experience and amechanical engineering backgroundpreferred
- Projectmanagement skills experience in office / lab planning movecoordination and small constructionmanagement
- Experiencein managing a portfolio of smallprojects
- Experiencein pharmaceutical / biotech industry involving cGMP aplus
- Experienceand training in reading construction drawings (ArchitecturalMechanical Electrical Process Plumbing Structural Fire) andconstructionspecifications
At least 3 years experience / knowledge with automated systems,including programming and improving complex systems Familiaritywith at least one computer coding language (such as Python, Java,C#, HTML), understanding in version control systems (like GitHub orGitLab) is a plus Able to independently contribute throughdevelopment and optimization of automation technologies preferred.
Able to oversee implementation of automation technologies withthird parties through technical skills and project managementprinciples Must be able to work productively in aninterdisciplinary team environment Experience with Hamilton,Scinomix, Tecan or similar automated laboratory platforms preferredGood oral and written communication, problem-solving, andanalytical skills Ability to influence and educate other scientistsand engineers to use automation technologies as part ofimplementation Proficiency using PC and Microsoft Office toolsExcellent organizational and time management skills Strongattention to detail GMP and Good Documentation PracticeIntermediate skills with WORD (authoring / editing large technicaldocuments with styles, tables, TOCs, track changes) Basic skillswith EXCEL and PowerPoint Experience with and tolerance for highlevels of challenge and change Experience with project managementincluding capturing project requirements and deliverables, timelinedevelopment, stakeholder management andcommunications
