Primary Job duties :
- Verify patient information by interviewing patients; recording medical history; and confirming reason for this visit.
- Prepare patients for examination by performing preliminary physical tests; taking blood pressure, weight, and temperature;
reporting patient history summary.
- Administer injections to include immunizations.
- Review patient schedules in advance to identify patients with chronic conditions requiring special attention and review charts for preventive protocols.
- Complete services and functions related to patient care coordination including medical records requests, referrals and data collection.
- Maintain documentation and communication with the internal team, external customers and patients, answer questions on the phone or through the patient portal;
and participate in monitoring the clinical inbox.
- Secure patient information and maintain patient confidentiality by completing and safeguarding medical records.
- Maintain safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures.
Minimum Qualifications :
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be certified (CMA) or registered (RMA) Medical Assistant
- Minimum of 1 year recent experience working in a medical office and administering vaccinations
- Familiarity with the Georgia Immunization Registry (GRITS)
- Athena Health is a huge plus.
Salary :
$19 - $2 per hour based on years’ experience
