Our ideal candidate is someone with prior experience performing underground electrical construction for an electric utility.
Those skills will be translated into a planner role within the Underground department. We will entertain candidates with underground electric cable splicing experience for a commercial entity.
Job Description :
Client is looking for an individual with underground electric construction experience for a Construction Planning role.
This role shall be responsible for shepherding projects from the Final Engineering phase to Project Closeout. This will include understanding project scope and estimating duration, obtaining proper permits, problem solving, materials management and working with Scheduling Department to get jobs scheduled for construction.
Required Experience :
- Experience in the underground electric utility field.
- Hands-on experience with high voltage systems (4 kVA, 5 kVA, and 13.8 kVA).
Required Skills :
- Strong computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft 365 programs.
- Problem-solving
- Understanding labor collective bargaining agreements (CBA) and interpreting labor agreements.
- The Scope of work described below will take place out of the Mass. Ave. Area Work Center with field work locations in the Greater Boston Area.
There may be pre-construction inspections which will require the Contractor to enter an energized environment and / or manhole, vault confined spaces.
