Role Purpose :

A key Machine Operator is responsible for the logistics, safety and control of all auto Dealership keys and fleet. The key Machine Operation system is designed to simplify the process of keys and tracking for all vehicles while providing the highest possible level of accountability, productivity and security.

Key Machine Operator Duties :

• Clean and maintain the Key Machine Department organized
• Organize roof and have all vehicles parked and alined according to Company Standards
• Keep main shop waiter spots clear for only waiters
• Ensure all electric vehicles are always plugged in
• Ensure all keys fobbed at all times. All keys must be inserted correctly into the Key Machine and verified if the Key tag matches on the Key machine screen
• Ensure all service cars have seat covers
• Key / car and seat cover inventory
• Ensure radios are charged and on at all times
• Answer all radio calls promptly and professionally
• Assist with all technician requests
• Ensure SALES vehicles are always in the correct area
• Ensure to cover all cars that have issues with windows / sunroofs not closing or broken
• Assist with podium to make valets are fulfilling requests and getting pick ups
• Responsible for closing and opening inventory
• Assist clearing service drive if needed or requested by podium
• Assist Drivers with TOW-in Procedures
• We expect from all Key machine Operators to greet and assist all Team members with a professional, positive, friendly and polite attitude and always follow Phone and email etiquette.
• Always answer the Phone : Thank you for Calling the Key Machine or Key Shack, how may I help you? It will be a pleasure!
• Make copies of all logs, charge all Walkie talkies, writing must be legible and always double check your work
• Arriving early to open the store and start preparations for the day.
• Leaving late to close the store.
• Assisting with customer service.
• Ensuring that the store is clean and organized.
• Managing the alarm system, including setting and disarming it.
• Ensuring that the security system is in working order.
• Create job, log property all keys, insert correctly into the key Machine and verified if the key matches on the Key Machine Screen
• Identifying problems with working conditions and reporting them
• Review all Logs to ensure all information is recorded properly by all Porters
• Communication and Teamwork are essential for this role. We expect from all employees a professional and respectful communication and support.

We work as a Team : Other tasks from other Departments may be assigned, based on business needs, downtime and the department Manager’s

Requirements :

• High school diploma or GED.
• 3+ years in Auto Dealership
• Basic computer literacy.
• Presentable demeanor and friendly nature.
• Diligent and responsible attitude.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
• Good written and verbal communication.
• Ability to Manage all Emails and requests from the Dealership on a timely matter.
• Attention to detail.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to delegate tasks to all drivers
