Job Description

As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for running parts on various CNC machines, primarily focusing on grinding machines, with opportunities to learn about mills and lathes. Your role will involve obtaining materials and feeding them through the machines, addressing any issues by notifying leads for machine adjustments. The long-term goal is to become proficient in changeovers and setups with the team.

Responsibilities

• Operate machinery such as CNC Mill, Lathe, or other specified equipment under supervision.
• Perform machine setups, including cleaning, calibration, and adjustments to start production cycles.
• Feed raw materials into machines and monitor machine operations during production to ensure optimal performance.
• Inspect parts using precision measuring tools to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Conduct periodic tests of machine operations and troubleshoot issues that may arise during shifts.
• Record production output, including approved units and any defects or flaws identified.
• Assist with preventative maintenance tasks and ensure cleanliness of the work area.
• Adhere to all safety guidelines, company rules, policies, and procedures without exception.
• Apply Lean Manufacturing principles and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Elk Grove Village, Illinois.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.30 / hr.
