Reporting to a Vice President / Project Executive, the Senior Project Manager plays a pivotal role in managing multiple construction projects concurrently, most of which are in the Greater New Haven area.

Leveraging extensive industry knowledge and experience, the Senior Project Manager ensures the timely completion of all project requirements within budget while providing a level of client service that exceeds our clients' expectations.

This role involves working collaboratively as part of a team and may entail supervising and directing team members.

As a member of the Petra team, you'll be expected to uphold our Mission Statement : Provide high quality construction services in a manner that will compel our clients and design professionals to recommend our company to others .

Our ideal candidate for this position will demonstrate :

• Minimum 7-10 years of project management experience at a building construction firm;
• Bachelor's degree, preferably in Construction Management, or equivalent work experience;
• Proficient understanding of contractual documents, plans, specifications and construction means and methods;
• Strong computer skills, with proficiency in Procore, MS Outlook, Excel, Word and MS Project;
• Experience with accounting software, e.g. Sage 300 CRE, is preferred;
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills;
• Ability to analyze and solve problems, make informed project decisions;
• Willingness to participate in training programs to enhance job knowledge and performance;
• OSHA 10 Certification; OSHA 30 Certification within 6 months of hire.
