Job Title : Inspector Packer

Job Description

The Inspector Packer is responsible for performing product inspections to determine conformance with specifications and packaging these products according to customer requirements.

Job Duties include :

• Ensure safety procedures are followed at all times and immediately report unsafe working conditions or mechanical safety problems to the Shift Supervisor.
• Understand the product line. Know the function of the product and any potential product defects that can adversely affect the function or application of the product.
• Perform production verifications at the start of an order and each shift.
• Perform the required visual inspections at the of each shift and at the interval specified in the data acquisition software.

Immediately notify the Manufacturing Coordinator if any defects are found.

• Utilize the data acquisition software to determine which gauging (if necessary) must be performed during the production run to ensure quality standards are met.
• Keep accurate documentation in the data acquisition software during the production run.
• Inspect parts on the conveyor belts and in product containers throughout the shift, and perform liner inspections as required.
• Assist the Material Technician in keeping the WIP hoppers supplied with parts.
• If applicable, periodically check the glue tank level to ensure a proper supply of glue is available to the machine.
• Properly package and handle the production per the assigned manufacturing specification.
• Accurately record scrap and place the scrap in the proper containers.
• Assist in the performance of the machine startups and shutdowns and line clearances, and keep machine downtime to a minimum.
• Keep the workstation clean and neat at all times by utilizing good housekeeping practices.
• Assist in the training of fellow associates and perform other duties as assigned.
• Participate in Lean and safety programs.
• Follow applicable Food Safety and cGMP policies.

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 90 Day(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in EVANSVILLE, Indiana.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of the job, the contractors are regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and occasionally exposed to various types of equipment that have vibration.

The noise level in the work environment requires hearing protection. Clean work environment, climate controlled. Good air quality working in plastics.

Family-friendly type environment. Shifts / Schedule : (12 / hr Shift *3 day weekend off, every other weekend) 4 - shifts (A) (B) (C) (D).

Hours 6am - 6pm (A) shift & (C) shift. - Wk (1) 36hrs - SU, W, TH. - Wk (2) 48hrs - M, T, F, SA. Night Shift Hours 6pm - 6am (B) shift & (D) shift.

• Wk (1) 36hrs - SU, W, TH. - Wk (2) 48hrs - M, T, F, SA. Available Openings : -(2) A shift - days. -(2) C shift - days.
• 0) B shift - nights. -(0) D shift - nights. Pay Rates : -Day Shift $16.50 / hr. on contract. Will increase to $17.72 / hr at conversion.
• Night Shift $17.50 / hr. on contract. Will increase to $18.72 / hr. at conversion. - 6 month evaluations for pay increases, top out pay at 3 years.
• $1 weekly attendance bonus. Attire : -Steel Toe Shoes (contractor provides). -Work pants. -Long sleeve shirts. -Client will provide other PPE which includes, earbuds, safety glasses, vests, sleeves.
• Face mask client provides.
