THE WORK
Lockheed Martin is seeking a highly motivated, gregarious, and diversely talented software engineer to lead the development of virtual and augmented reality applications.
This position will lead a team through planning, design, production, delivery, and maintenance of a suite of high-tech immersive simulations for training professionals in military scenarios and procedures.
Candidates must have a solid computer science background, significant expertise in AR / VR development for military applications, broad program leadership skills, and experience with modern Agile and DevSecOps practices.
Integrating game engine-based tools with web APIs and networked communication.
The position will require :

Desired skills
- Networking, and / or Web RTC or other calling and conferencing configurations
- Integrating game engine-based tools with web APIs and networked communication
- Experience programming network protocols and communication (ex : UDP / TCP, HTTP, Bluetooth)
- MS degree in Computer Science, Human Computer Interaction, or related field experience
- Experience with rendering pipelines on different platforms and profiling and optimization techniques in VR
- Experience with multiple VR / AR hardware platforms (Vive, Oculus, Dream, Hololens, etc)
- Experience with multiple VR SDKS / plugins (OpenVR, SteamVR, VRTK, NewtonVR, etc) algorithms
- Experience creating and texturing 3D models
- Experience with Shader Scripting
- Experience with Particles, Particle Engines, and Particle Scripting
- Experience with the Unreal Engine
- Experience with Unity3D interfacing other external data elements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent Engineering program.
