About the role
As the Senior Business Intelligence Engineer, you will play a key role in advancing our data infrastructure and building self-serving data products that enable faster decision making, data democratization, and self-service functionality.
As a key member of the Data and Product team, you will manage preparation and execution of measurement and reporting for digital and non-digital marketing campaigns and make proactive recommendations that drive the key performance goals of our clients.
These tools will deliver high-visibility dashboards and data insights to our media and consulting teams that are managing a portfolio of global retail and consumer clients.
Responsibilities
- Engage collaboratively with business stakeholders, translating their data visualization and analytics requirements into data visualization dashboards.
- Coach, manage, and identify gaps with current and future BI team needs; providing direction and prioritization of data and analytics roadmap.
- Conduct thorough analysis of data sources, designing a comprehensive end-to-end data processing logic.
- Design, develop, and maintain interactive and insightful Tableau dashboards and reports; continuing to optimize data retrieval and seamless user experience.
- Subject matter expert for analytical tools and techniques, primarily in business intelligence platform management.
- Validate the accuracy and integrity of data utilized in Tableau dashboards, ensuring reliable insights.
- Ensure data and analytics products are optimized for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
- Provide training and continuous support to end-users, empowering them to effectively utilize Tableau dashboards.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in developing BI dashboards including level of detail (LOD) expressions, parameter actions, and advanced mapping techniques.
- Bachelor’s Degree or BS or comparable degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven expertise in optimizing Tableau dashboard performance.
- Experience developing and applying predictive models and other advanced statistical approaches in a corporate or consulting setting, preferably in a marketing and sales context.
- Experience working with various other data sources and relational databases including AWS.
- Advanced experience in SQL.
- Advanced Excel skills for data manipulation.
- Strategic project planning, and BI Product management.
- Experience developing and applying predictive models and other advanced statistical approaches, preferably in a marketing, media, or retail context.
- Understanding of marketing, media and retail.
