Job Description and Duties

This is a bilingual Spanish position.

This position will run Until Filled with a cut off date of the 1st of each month.

We are seeking a Spanish bilingual Office Technician to join our contact center team. Under the general direction of the Contact Center Manager (Staff Services Manager I), you will demonstrate your sensitivity, active listening, and excellent customer service skills by responding to incoming calls from the public in both Spanish and English.

You will determine if the caller should file a complaint with our department, which type of complaint to file, and will instruct them on how to file.

You will take complaints over the phone and schedule appointments for interviews. You will provide accurate and detailed information on the many areas of CRD’s jurisdiction, make referrals where appropriate, and update our case management system in regard to inquiries on active cases.

You will rotate into the office to process incoming and outgoing mail and may assist with other projects as needed.

This position is currently eligible for telework three days per week. In-office presence will be required two days per week at our Headquarters location in Sacramento.

Working Conditions

The demands described here are representative of those that must be met by the incumbent to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.

  • Requires daily use of a personal computer and related software applications at a workstation.
  • Work under artificial lighting only.
  • Requires ability to complete tasks that require reaching, bending, grasping, and making repetitive hand movements in the performance of daily duties.
  • Requires prolonged sitting and or standing at a workstation for 6.5 to 7 hours per day.
  • Requires ability to effectively handle stress.
