The House Supervisor is a licensed professional Registered Nurse (RN) who provides operational oversight and leadership in a hospital environment.
Creates an environment that enables the delivery of safe patient care. Involves providing leadership in unforeseen situations, making timely decisions that directly impact patient care, and fostering collaboration among different departments and professions.
The House Supervisor ensures that communication is efficient and effective, provides clinical guidance in patient care management, staff cohesiveness, and interprets and implements policies and procedures.
Models critical thinking through self-direction, initiative, and effective interpersonal and oral / written communication skills.
