Some training for this position will take place on 1st shift.
Job Function
Responsible for installing, repairing, and monitoring industrial production machinery and facilities. This is a position with exposure to electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
Essential Functions
Follow prescribed Safety Regulations and immediately report any unsafe conditions to the Safety Coordinator.
Ensure the correct and safe operation of equipment and machinery
Follow detailed instructions to perform predictive and preventative maintenance duties
Identify faulty equipment through observation and testing metrics
Ability to weld (stick & MIG) and perform pipe fitting (steel, copper, and PVC)
Safely operate tow motor, power tools, multi-meter, hoists, and hand tools
Perform general maintenance functions (raise / lower shotends, charge bottles, and check cores)
Safely work with electrical 120VAC and 480VAC and lower AC & DC control voltages.
Be able to remove and rebuild hydraulic pumps and valves.
Install new equipment (install conduit, run wire, install pipes, etc.) and follow mfg. instructions.
Log work performed in a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
Maintain parts and tools inventory
Continue to increase electrical, pneumatics, hydraulics, and mechanical knowledge via on-going training, industry workshops, and technical reading.
Flexibility to work overtime as needed to meet production demands
Ability to perform on-call duties during plant off hours
Qualifications
Possess technical skills and have the ability to learn new skills
Team player and willing to work with minimal supervision
Good problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
Possess good communication skills
Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
Ability to follow detailed instructions
Must be willing to work on Sunday, when required.
