The ICU Registered Nurse, under the supervision of the Nurse Manager and the Nursing Supervisor, is responsible for the nursing care of the patients in the Intensive Care Unit and is responsible for the direction of patient care.
The RN delivers care based on patient needs appropriate for adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients. He / she demonstrates an interest in a patient-centered approach to total nursing care.
Supervisors instruct staff in the department. Demonstrates cooperation, flexibility, and resourcefulness when dealing with patients, visitors, physicians, and hospital personnel.
