Position Summary - Monday-Friday, 8am-5 : 00pm, 40 hours weekly
The EEG Technologist Assistant will work side by side supporting the EEG Technologists while independently completing the neurodiagnostic program.
Once the program is completed and the assistant is certified, the candidate will move into the role of a qualified EEG Technologist.
This position will support a variety of demographics ranging from newborns to geriatrics, in both the inpatient and outpatient settings, including critically ill patients in the adult ICI and NICU.
A two (2) year commitment to the organization is expected after certification is obtained.

Assist EEG technologist to complete tests as requested by physician.
With guidance from licensed EEG technologist(s), gather patient medical history, explain testing procedures, and prepare the patient for procedure.
Enter appropriate data in computer modules.
Verify department inventory levels and reorder additional supplies as needed.
Perform supervised EEG testing in both hospital and ambulatory settings
Communicate clearly with patients and / or their families
Use EEG Hardware and Software in combination with the Electronic Medical Record for documentation.
Education / Experience / Licensure
Education : High School diploma or equivalent required.
Licensure : Neurodiagnostic certification obtained within 15-months of hire required. BLS authorization or obtained within 90-days of hire preferred.
