Overview

As a Consultant with Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC), you'll be involved with environmental projects and provide client-focused customer service in the manufacturing, energy, mining, and real-estate markets.

You'll perform engineering tasks such as, due diligence / environmental site assessments, compliance audits, permitting and multi-media site investigations regarding soil, sediments, surface water, groundwater and soil vapor including drilling oversight and logging of borings.

This position will include field work consisting of environmental monitoring / sampling of soil, groundwater, and stormwater.

You'll interact with clients, contractors, and local government officials to impact the entire project from concept to final work product.

Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• 0-5 years' professional engineering or related experience;
• B.S. or M.S. in Civil / Environmental Engineering, Geology, or a related field;
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
• E.I.T., F.E., or similiar certification;
• Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project);
• Environmental Engineering experience is a plus;
• HAZWOPER training is a plus;
• Missouri Department of Natural Resources Monitoring Well and Test Hole Installation Registration is a plus;
• Solid organizational and time management skills;
• Experience with due diligence, compliance and permitting, site assessments (Phase I and II), and subsurface investigations is a strong plus.
