Position Overview :

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer with mandatory expertise in Siemens NX and machine design for custom automated equipment.

This is a hybrid position, offering the flexibility to work remotely part-time, while still collaborating closely with our engineering and project teams on-site.

Key Responsibilities :

• Design custom automated equipment using Siemens NX this is a required skill for the role.
• Create 3D models, assemblies, and detailed mechanical drawings for manufacturing.
• Apply machine design principles to ensure robust, high-performance automation systems.
• Perform design analysis, including stress, tolerance, and interference checks to ensure manufacturability and performance standards.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams electrical engineers, control engineers, and project managers to integrate mechanical components with automation systems.
• Oversee the design and specification of mechanical systems, including gears, motors, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
• Manage design revisions based on customer feedback and prototype testing results.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, client specifications, and internal quality requirements.
• Provide technical support during the build, installation, and testing phases.

Qualifications (Non-negotiable) :

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in machine design for custom automation or manufacturing equipment.
• Proficiency in Siemens NX (3D modeling, drafting, and simulation) is required candidates without this will not be considered.
• Deep understanding of mechanical system design, including actuators, motors, gears, bearings, and structural components.
• Experience with manufacturing processes such as CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication, and welding.
• Strong knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under tight deadlines.

Preferred Skills :

• Experience with FEA (Finite Element Analysis) for stress and fatigue analysis.
• Knowledge of automation control systems and PLC integration.
• Familiarity with Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA).
