As Sr. Systems Engineer (Vehicle Controls Functional Safety), you will be responsible for :
- Develop and perform quantitative and qualitative functional safety analyses, including Hazard and Risk Analyses (HARAs), Fault Tree Analyses (FTAs), Failure Modes and Effects Analyses (FMEAs), and / or Failure Modes, Effects, and Diagnostic Analyses (FMEDAs).
- Create functional safety and technical safety concepts for vehicle motion control systems.
- Collaborate with internal hardware / software engineers and external suppliers to ensure system requirements and functionality are met.
- Assist with the implementation of systems engineering processes, including cross-functional reviews of requirements and test cases.
- Support the creation of test plans, test cases, and conduct black box integration testing, as well as resolve issues.
Qualifications :
- Master's degree or higher in Automotive Engineering, Aerospace, Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Systems Engineering.
- At least seven years of engineering experience, with a minimum of five years focused on System Safety, Functional Safety, and Systems Engineering.
- Proficiency in hazard analysis, functional decomposition, and developing safety requirements in accordance with ISO 26262 standards.
- Experience in developing system architecture diagrams and safety concepts for complex system interactions.
- Strong collaborative skills with excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- ISO 26262 Certification.
- Experience with requirements management tools (e.g., Polarion).
- Proven experience working on at least one project throughout its entire development cycle.
- Analytical skills with familiarity in scripting or programming languages such as Python.
Salary Range : $113,000 - $188,000
The actual salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, the candidate's combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience.
