Heavy Equipment Mechanic
We are a locally-owned Milford, MI area site contractor currently seeking heavy equipment mechanic to join our maintenance team.
Most of our heavy equioment is Caterpillar
Responsibilities :
- Diagnose, rebuild, and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems of heavy operating equipment.
- Perform maintenance and repair on heavy equipment, trucks, trailers, and tools while using a high degree of independent judgement.
- Accurately order needed parts from vendors.
- Perform inspections and preventive maintenance.
- Prepares and maintains records and reports.
- Extensive knowledge of construction or heavy equipment and advanced understanding of schematics and diagrams.
- Performs all duties in conformance to appropriate safety and security standards.
Required Qualifications :
- 5 years of experience
- CDL Class A license required
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Flexibility of working hours and location (shop and field repairs)
- Reliable transportation
- Excellent communication skills
- Be a team player with a professional attitude
- Competencies : Technical Capacity, Time Management, Thoroughness, Problem Solving / Analysis, Discretion.
Job Type : Full-time
Pay : $35.00 - $42.00 per hour Health insurance
Expected hours : 40 – 60 per week
Drug screen and background check are required
