Location : Sterling, VA
Duration : Temp to Hire
Schedule : Day Shifts, NO WEEKENDS, NO NIGHTS. Full-time (40 hours) shift between the hours of 7 : 30 am 6 : 30 pm.
Duties :
- Providing outstanding customer service and meticulous attention to detail.
- Address routine inquiries from patients regarding health plan drug coverage, prices, and related issues.
- Identify situations requiring pharmacist intervention and appropriately triage to the pharmacist.
- Assist pharmacists in filling prescriptions, in accordance with state board of pharmacy regulations.
- Process third-party claims as per patients' drug plans.
- Liaise with insurance companies and / or PBMs to resolve claims issues.
- Operate automated packaging machinery to pre-sort, package, and restock medications.
- Order and stock drugs and supplies, assemble drugs and supplies for clinical departments, stock crash carts, and perform other inventory duties.
- Pack and ship orders nationwide.
- Maintain a safe and clean pharmacy environment by adhering to procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Perform other assigned tasks as required.
Qualifications :
- VA pharmacy technician license is required.
- Experience with retail, mail order, or LTC pharmacy data entry and pharmacy dispensing
